BLOGWORDS SPECIAL REPORT – Saturday 12 November 2016 – DOMINION CHILDREN’S HOME in KENYA
DOMINION CHILDREN’S HOME in KENYA
I’ve always had a heart for Africa, and I’ve always had a heart for kids. Especially orphans. And this mission, Dominion Children’s Home in Eldoret, Kenya, encompasses all of those things.
My heart’s desire is to go to visit the home someday, to meet the kids and staff there, and to minister in whatever capacity I might be needed. And I know from prior experience, I will be the one more changed for such a thing.
As with any mission, they work on a bare bones budget. My heart longs to give to these children, daily necessities, things we take for granted. And I share with you today to garner support for these kids.
Dominion Children’s Home has captured my heart, and I hope it does yours as well. I will be putting together fund raising efforts, and will post when I do. If you feel prompted to offer support in any way, comment on today’s post and I’ll get you information to make it happen.
Some of the children there need sponsors. And if that’s something that speaks to your heart, I’ll get your name to the director, Ann Fyall, and one of us will get pictures of the children to you.
If this seems discombobulated and scattered, it is. I haven’t put anything together, except this plea. I like to plan and I like all the details in place. But I also didn’t want to wait to get word out. Especially with Christmas coming. I’d love to send some fun goodies for the kids—and staff—for Christmas.
