The month of September is a special time for me:
my THIRD novel and sequel to
the final in the unsavory heritage series,
BOOK REVIEW – JUSTIFIED
Fern Blaylock is a rich privileged girl who was never denied anything in her life. Except the love of her father, and the truth from her mother. Walking away from the suitable marriage to rich privileged Tyler Cruz, she violates every expectation and becomes the hot topic of town gossip. Being pregnant only adds fuel to the fire.
But as she pulls away from those expectations and denies her abusive boyfriend, she is drawn to the attention and respect of another man. She strikes out on her own and begins to question everything she’s ever known.
But guilt is a powerful burden and Fern questions her worth. Even as an unlikely friendship develops, and romance dances around her, she struggles to embrace the truth and the love denied her for so long.
The story of Ms. Denman’s characters continues with Fern’s fight for truth and freedom. Her heart and emotions were on every page, and I could taste the heartache. I felt the weight of her guilt, even as she fights to let herself be forgiven. I thrilled as Fern’s protective web began to unravel, and love began to seep in. I panicked with her as she went into an untimely labor. Ms. Denman writes an engrossing story, real life situations and details that convey truth, and the search for love.
I look forward to the third and final book in this series, and look forward to more from this author.
Varina Denman writes stories about the unique struggles women face. She teaches creative writing and literature, volunteers in her local cooperative, and is a home educator to her five children. She resides with her family in North Texas.
